Are You Looking for the Blog? It's right here: Buzzy Marketing Blog.
What's Your Fancy?
Welcome to the Buzzy Marketing site. Thanks for visiting!
What you are interested in is probably the same topics I'm interested in. Building a business online!
I'm going to outline the big picture items that you need to know as you embark on the journey to a successful online business presence.
Whether or not you are planning on branding yourself, or a company, the broad strokes are more or less the same.
Here are the "level ups":
- Level 1) Establish Your Online Presence
- Level 2) Establish Your Social Presence
- Level 3) Generate Content
- Level 4) Generate Traffic
- Level 5) Funnel Traffic
- Level 6) Convert Traffic
That's it, that's all there is to it.
Understand that even though there are multiple levels, you'll more than likely be pulling in some cash before you get to the last level.
Each level builds upon the efforts of the other levels, and by the time you get through the last level, you should be generating a decent amount of success.
Just to establish some expectations; you likely will not be generating more than a trickle (if that) prior to getting to level 4.
Level 4 is where things start to get serious and "shit gets real".
In other words, traffic is where it's at, and interestingly, that's where most people struggle and ultimately... quit!
Lucky for you, you found Buzzy Marketing. If you're serious, I'm going to get you through level 4!
Level 1 - Establish Your Online Business
This phase of online entrepreneurial life is a little like falling in love. It's exciting, a little scary, everything has unlimited potential, everything is new, and just a little bit brighter.
You don't know what you don't know and thank God for that!
Many don't know the first thing about getting started if that's not you then great! But I still advise you to take a look at the information around this topic.
I'm going to walk you through how to get started right, step by step, from scratch.

Level 2 - Establish Your Social Presence
Gone are the days where search engines are the only source of traffic!
Make no mistake, I'll be talking to you at length about SEO and search engine marketing.
The point is that social media is where it's at! It's a source of traffic that is, in many ways, more resilient and easier to influence than search engine traffic.
Social media marketing (SEM) is one of the things you are going to be spending time on throughout your grand business endeavors.
Depending on your topic of interest and your goals you may find that you gravitate more to one social channel than others, but make no mistake, you'll be leveraging all of them.
For those that are focusing on marketing themselves, it's very likely that Twitter and LinkedIn will be your social networks of choice.
While those that are focusing on apps and content will be targeting Facebook and very likely Amazon. Oh yes, Amazon is very much a social network.
Regardless, YouTube is going to be a consideration for everyone. The topic of video is not only here to stay, it's taking the traffic and social implementation strategies to all new levels.

Level 3 - Generate Content
This is the mainstay of your efforts. Your words are going to be what brings people to your site, and ultimately what helps your visitors answer their questions.
Your job with content is to help your visitors. If they are finding what they want on your site, they'll stick around and read more.
If they don't find what they're looking for, they'll bounce back to Google, Facebook, Twitter, or wherever else they came from.
Your content needs to be high quality and useful. If you're producing what everyone else is producing, then it's going to be harder to get you through the next steps.
The information that you'll find on this topic is going to center around strategies for generating not just words, but words with purpose. Images to generate interest. Videos full of vigor. Sound that is scintillating.

Level 4 - Generate Traffic
Generating traffic is the most important step of all. There are those that would disagree, but unless it's to clarify by putting the word "target" in front of the word "traffic", they're wrong.
Without traffic, everything else you've done and will do is for nothing.
Without targeted traffic, you're going to have low funnel throughput and low conversion rates. with means that you are spending time on things that are not providing as much value and it'll be harder to tweak things later because of all the untargeted noise.
That means you are probably spending time on things that are not providing as much value as the could be, and it'll be harder to tweak things later because of all the untargeted noise.

Level 5 - Funnel Traffic
It is just as it sounds. The funnel is where you guide your visitors through the process of making a decision.
It's where you can route your visitors to different pages and offers based on their interests.
The funnel is very important, because if you do it right, then the conversion becomes much easier because the visitors that hit your conversion channels are going to be highly targeted. Perhaps a better way to say that is; highly interested in what you are providing.
It doesn't matter if your ultimate end goal is a product, a service, or simply engagement, the process is very similar.
The funnel is as important as the next step (conversion) and the most important aspect of all the steps, except the step of generating traffic.

Level 6 - Convert Traffic
The conversion of traffic is where the rubber really meets the road, so to speak.
What I mean by that is that this is where people either show you the money or walk away.
If they show you the money, then all the work that you've put into the prior steps has paid off. If they walk away, then you've still got some more work to do.
The good news is that if you've got traffic, and your visitors are reaching your conversion pages, then it becomes a matter of time and tweaking.
Of course, it's possible that you've targeted the wrong traffic, which we'll cover as well, but for this topic, I'm going to assume that your traffic is at least decently targeted.
